About this series
Family sessions go wrong when they become a queue of arrangements. This one worked because we never left the house and never stopped the afternoon to take a picture. I photographed the cooking, the arguing about the cooking, and the twenty quiet minutes afterwards.
The grandmother in the middle of the set had said at the start that she did not photograph well. She is in more of the final edit than anybody.
